When your baby takes their first steps it’s so important for them to be in good quality shoes. In the early years, shoes need to be soft and flexible and as close to barefoot as possible.

One of my favourite kid’s shoe brands is New Zealand label Pretty Brave.

Why? Because they know little feet, and deliver on gorgeous shoe design and comfort. 

Established in 2015 by artist and graphic designer Natalie Meldrum, they’ve been at the forefront of beautiful shoe designs for children.

Working with podiatrists they make sure that shoes are made with comfort as a priority. I love the fact that their baby and kids shoes are made from buttery soft leather, with padded insoles which means little ones will be comfortable all day long.

And did I mention their shoes are totally free of  nasty chemicals like Chromium VI and Azo dyes?

Because we don't want any chemicals near our kids feet.

All their shoes are tested strictly to conform with European Standard EN71-3 so you know you're putting the best on your little one.

I’m so excited for the arrival of the Homegrown Collection by Pretty Brave this SS21/22 which arrived today! 

To be honest I was hitting the refresh button on the courier tracking countless times...because I could feel that this release was something to be totally excited about.

And then the boxes arrived, and we opened them...

The beautiful Skye baby sandal for girls (oh my goodness the design is stunning) is an absolute standout! These sandals have a delicate scalloped edging in gorgeous shades of berry and ivory and are fully adjustable.

Yes, they have two Velcro straps (one across the toes and around the ankle) which can be adjusted for the perfect fit.

With the warmer weather arriving, Rio Sandals are always a favourite. With a closed toe and heel for support, these sandals are hands down one of our most requested sandals in the summer months. This sandal design is always a classic and goes with so many different outfits for boys and girls.

If your little one has just started walking then Morgan T-Bars are the most gorgeous shoes for little girls. With a thin flexible rubber sole, this shoe is perfect for first steps. If your little one is crawling, the smaller sizes have a soft suede sole ideal for pre-walkers.
